Homemaker-Home Health Aides in New Jersey must be certified by the New Jersey Board of Nursing which is a part of the Division of Consumer Affairs.  You can check the status of a home health aide at New Jersey’s online licensing directory or by calling the Board of Nursing at 973-504-6546.

Please note that, in New Jersey, home health aide must work for a licensed home care services agency.  They are not allowed to work independently.  Licensed home care services can be found here.
